Privacy policy

What FairSign Forms to PDF can see in your Google account, why, and what it does not collect.

Effective October 12, 2026

Short version. FairSign Forms to PDF runs inside your Google account. Your form responses and the PDFs it makes stay there and never pass through our servers. Apart from Google's own Drive and Docs APIs, the only request it makes is a license key check with Polar, and that request carries the key only.

Who we are

FairSign Forms to PDF is made by FairSign ("we", "us"). Contact: support@usefairsign.com. We usually reply within 1 business day.

This policy covers FairSign Forms to PDF, the add-on that is available now. The other FairSign tools are not released yet. Each one will have its permissions listed here before it opens.

What the add-on accesses, and why

When you authorize the add-on, Google shows you the permissions below. We request only these eight:

Permission (OAuth scope)What we use it for
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/forms.currentonlyRead the questions and new responses of the one form where the add-on is open, so it knows what to fill in and when a response arrives.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/documentsWrite content into, and replace placeholders in, the template documents the add-on creates itself.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.fileCreate and read only the folder, templates and PDFs the add-on itself created. It cannot see or touch your other Drive files.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.send_mailSend the PDF by email, in the form owner's name, to the person who submitted the form.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.external_requestMake outside requests for two purposes only: checking your license key with Polar, and calling Google's own Drive and Docs APIs.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.uiShow the add-on's sidebar inside your form.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.scriptappInstall the on-form-submit trigger that starts the PDF job when a response arrives.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.emailRead the form owner's own email address, used as the default address for notifications and copies.

We do not request the full Google Drive scope and we do not read your other files, your other forms or your email. If a future version needs a new permission, we will update this page before releasing it.

What we do not collect

  • Form questions and responses. They are processed inside your Google account and are not copied to our servers.
  • The contents of your templates, the generated documents or the PDFs.
  • The email addresses of the people who fill in your forms.
  • Your own email address, which the add-on reads only to pre-fill notification and copy settings; it is not sent to us.

Outside requests

Besides calls to Google's own Drive and Docs APIs, the add-on makes one request to a third party:

License checking

If you enter a license key, the add-on sends it to Polar (polar.sh) to check whether it is valid. Polar is our merchant of record: it takes payments and issues license keys under its own privacy policy, and we never see your card number. The request contains the key only. No form data is part of it.

Where your settings live

The settings you choose (which template, which email question, subject line, file name) are stored by Google with the add-on, in your Google account, not on our servers.

Email

PDFs are sent from your own Google account through Google's mail service, so they appear in your Sent mail and count toward your Google sending limits. Respondents see your address as the sender.

Google API Services User Data Policy

FairSign Forms to PDF's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide or improve the add-on's user-facing features, we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide those features or comply with law, we do not use it for advertising (including retargeting or interest-based ads), we do not sell it, and no human reads it unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security or abuse investigation, or the law requires it.

This website

This website is static and does not use advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and requested page) for security and operations. If we add analytics, we will say so here.

Your choices

  • Revoke the add-on's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Uninstall it from the Google Workspace Marketplace "Manage apps" page.
  • Files the add-on created (filled copies, PDFs) are in your own Drive, and you can delete them yourself.
  • For questions, or to ask about data we hold about you (for example from a support email), write to support@usefairsign.com.

Children

FairSign Forms to PDF is a tool for form owners and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for changes to permissions, update this page before the new version is released.
