Terms of service
The rules for using FairSign, in plain language.
1. Agreement
By installing or using any FairSign add-on (the "Service"), you agree to these terms with FairSign ("we", "us"). If you use it for an organization, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.
2. What the Service does
FairSign makes small add-ons for Google Forms, Sheets, Docs and Slides. The one available now, FairSign Forms to PDF, fills a Google Docs template with each form response, turns it into a PDF and emails it. The add-ons run in your Google account and use the permissions described in the privacy policy.
3. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for your forms, templates and the PDFs they produce, including their accuracy.
- You are responsible for the personal data of the people who fill in your forms. You must have a lawful reason to collect it and to email them, and you must comply with the privacy and anti-spam laws that apply to you.
- Do not use the Service to send spam, to deceive people, to issue forged documents or credentials, or to break any law or Google's terms.
- Keep your Google account secure. You are responsible for activity under it.
4. Plans and billing
- Free: each tool has its own free limit, listed on the pricing page. For FairSign Forms to PDF it is 20 PDFs per calendar month.
- Pro: removes the limit for one tool, $69 per year or $8 per month, in US dollars.
- All tools: $129 per year for every FairSign tool, including tools released later.
- Polar is our merchant of record. It processes the payment and handles sales tax. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
- Refunds: if you are not satisfied, write to support@usefairsign.com within 14 days of a payment and we refund that payment in full.
- We may change prices for future periods and will give notice before a change applies to you.
5. Google and third parties
The Service depends on Google products and on Polar. Google's quotas (for example daily email limits) and terms apply to your use, and changes on their side may affect the Service. FairSign is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google.
6. Your content
Your forms, templates, responses and PDFs are yours. We do not take ownership of them and, as described in the privacy policy, we do not receive copies of them.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change or discontinue features, and will try to give notice of changes that materially affect paying customers.
8. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Check generated documents before relying on them, especially certificates, receipts and other documents with legal or financial meaning.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Ending
You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or misuse the Service.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
12. Contact and changes
Questions: support@usefairsign.com. We usually reply within 1 business day. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use after an update means you accept it.
